This is my Completed film - 'Can't Touch This' by MC Hammer. It took around about 5 months to create the video and it was finally finished during February 2011. It took this long because there was a lot of editing to do as the song I chose had a fast pace, which meant i had to change each clip quickly to keep up the the pace of the song. It was hard to do this as I had to think of many creative effects and ideas to fill the gaps in my video. One of the things i did to fill some gaps was create an iTunes effect using a green screen. I think this added more creativity and style to my video. My final video is shown below.

Digipak!
As part of our coursework for this unit, we had to create a Digipak for the song that we were doing as for our music video. To prepare for the actual editing of the Digipak, I took some photo's in the school studio to put in it. I took a variety ofPictures so that the Digipak would have a different picture on each canvas. I also took afew screen shots of parts from my video that i could include on the Digipak. I also saved some backgrounds (whitewith coloured lines on it) from the Internet, so I could experiment with different backgrounds which would go on the face of the CD.
I tried to incorporate Bright colours in the Digipak so it would tie in the theme of the video, where bright colours are used.
Here is the Digipak that I created.

Development of and Final Magazine Advert
As part of our coursework, we also had to design a magazine advert to promote the new Digipak of our album or single. It includes pictures of the artist, the release date and an issue of the digipak. I designed my advert so it resembled the video and the Digipak itself, by using bright colours which stand out. I also used bold drop shadows to make the text and pictures stand out from the page. I used a picture of brightly coloured splodges of paint from google images to use as a backdrop for the advert. I then used the magic wand tool to cut out the white background of the image and use it again againt a purple band for the heading of the advert. This made the advert stand out and it looked unique. Then I used coloured rectangles as a base backdrop for the images of the artist using drop shadows to back it up and make it bold. Over all I think the advert turned out well as it reflects the video and the Digipak so the theme runs throught my work.
Development of Digipak
When creating the Digipak, we had to make 6 seperate panels. 3 of the panels make up the front side of the Digipak and the other 3 make the back side of the Digipak. Each one of the panels was designed to fit the style of the song that we had chosen. I designed mine to be colourful and bold becuase the theme of my video was mostly based around colours and dancing. I had to develop the panels a fewtimes before I was happy with the end result. I layered them with the colours Purple and green as those were the ones that stood out the most. Also I used different font styles that were funky enough to suit the colours and the video.
