Target Audience

My Target audience for my video would be children and teenagers. This is because the song is a dance, up-beat song and the people that would be most likely to listen to/ watch the video would be the younger generation. I feel that my plan for my video is suitable for this target audience and they would enjoy watching it, as it includes lots of colours and it is funny. The song is also very catchy and is most likely to stick in children/teenagers brains and have them singing it all through the day.

Location Shots

Filming for my film took place in various areas. These include:

The Leight Technology Academy - Film/photography studio
School Canteen
School Stairs
Lecture Theatre
My home
Dartford Town - Prospect place
Dartford Park

I think these were appropriate locations to film for my video as they each had a reason.

I filmed at my school, because I wanted to create an atmosphere of dancing in a school, so it looked like the school aged children were taken with the song and liked to dance to it. This is because my target audience was around the child/teenager age.

I filmed at my house as it was the setting for the 'children dancing' scenes. I wanted to create the look that anyone at home can get up and dance to it.

I filmed in Dartford park to make it seem like the dancers were out in the park then heard the song and started to dance. It created a fun aspect to the film.

I wanted to film in Dartford Town (Prospect place) as it was a good setting for the story line of the male actor and female dancers. This is because I wanted it to look like he was in the town walking around acting like he was the 'bomb'.

Email conformation

This is the email that I wrote to the record company to ask permission to use their song for my video.

Risk Assessment

Before filming, I had to consider certain things. These were:

Weather: as it was October when i did my filming, I had to consider what the weather was going to be like. As my song was happy and a dance song, it suggests sun, so I wanted to film on sunny days. Fortunately, the days that i filmed in Dartford, the weather was bright and sunny so it worked well for me.

Location: I also had to take into consideration where abouts I was going to film. I had to make carefull decisions about what locations would be most appropriate for my video. I also had to make sure that it was ok to film where I did and that nothing got in the way to stop me from filming in those particualr locations.

Organisation: One thing that was a major risk was the organistation of the dance scene filming. I had to make sure that all the actors and actresses were on time and check who was actually coming to be in the film. This could be difficult because I did the filming during school time whcih meant that some people woulndt be able to make it as they were in lessons, so I had to work around this.
