This is my Completed film - 'Can't Touch This' by MC Hammer. It took around about 5 months to create the video and it was finally finished during February 2011. It took this long because there was a lot of editing to do as the song I chose had a fast pace, which meant i had to change each clip quickly to keep up the the pace of the song. It was hard to do this as I had to think of many creative effects and ideas to fill the gaps in my video. One of the things i did to fill some gaps was create an iTunes effect using a green screen. I think this added more creativity and style to my video. My final video is shown below.
I like how your video is filmed in different locations and that they all dance in sync with each other. The lip sync is pretty spot on and i like how the song and video match to create humour.
ReplyDeleteWell done Natasha! Such a good video, It is such a funny video to watch and there is many comical parts in the video. I like the way in the video you have used the Tv screen and put the actors inside the screen, Very effective.I like the effects you have used, with the coloured split screens and the 5 images of the main actor doing different dance moves. I like the dance scenes as i think they work well with the music and the dancing is makes the film funny. The part of the video where there is like a hologram of a dancer in different colour, is really effective and different but it works really well with the type of music they are dancing too.

The use of frequent cuts is really good and keeps in time to the music. The wide variety of people and locations you have used to act in your video adds an element of fun to the overall feel of the video
ReplyDeleteI like the fact your video uses lots of different cuts, and they are all cut very well and in time. I like watching your video as it is fun and holds your attention. The different effects, colours and dance routines work well with the song choice as well.
ReplyDeleteI like how you have got the actors in the video to dance to the track it gives a good effect. I like the effect that you used between 3:47 and 3:52, it is like one of the old ipod adverts an i feel it works well on your video. However i feel that between 2:07 and 2:20 when they are dancing on the stage the shadows of the dancers are reflecting off of the screen.

The sharp edits work really well with the beat of the song, and the use of different locations keeps it entertaining and fun to watch. The editing/effects works really well and give extra impact to your video. Good organistaion for the dancers, they were all in time.
